The German government is to provide 120 million euros for the EU Emergency Trust Fund for Africa. This funding is to be used to provide humanitarian aid for refugees and migrants in Libya and more effective support for voluntary returnees. The aim is thus to improve the economic situation in poor regions and to combat human trafficking and smuggling of migrants.
